East Anglia Construction Safety Group – About us
The East Anglia Construction Safety Group was formed to promote high standards of health, safety, welfare and environmental practice in the construction industry and allied professions by keeping members informed of topical issues, the practical aspects of implementing relevant legislation and promoting best working practice.
The Group meets five times a year, usually on the 3rd Thursday of February, April, June, September and November, with an authoritative guest speaker on a topical issue at each meeting. Occasionally we hold full-day events with morning and afternoon speakers or practical demonstrations. The meetings also offer an ideal opportunity for members to share information and experiences and to generally ‘network’ with fellow like-minded professionals.
The meetings usually take place in the afternoons with current venues in Ipswich and Waterbeach, (Cambs). For details of our current venues rates and meeting dates click on the about us tab then select the membership fees link
We are a friendly and informal bunch, who welcome new members. Our existing members, who mainly come from a range of disciplines within the construction industry, have varying levels of health and safety knowledge and experience. Other members come from related professions such as design and training. The Group’s meetings provide an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to embrace the principles of occupational health, safety and environmental good practice, especially someone new to the industry or a health and safety role. Our more experienced members are always prepared to offer advice.
