'The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act,comes into
effect on 6th April 2008,
This introduces a new offence, across the UK.
The Act will make it easier to prosecute companies and other organisations
where there has been a gross failing, throughout the organisation, in
the management of health and safety which results in a fatality.'
Directors and senior managers with responsibility for health and safety
are advised to critically examine their company's health and policies
and practices and implement improvements where necessary.'
