East Anglia Construction Safety Group

About Us

The East Anglia Construction Safety Group was formed to promote high standards of health, safety, welfare and environmental practice in the construction industry and allied professions by keeping members informed of topical issues, the practical aspects of implementing relevant legislation and promoting best working practice.

We are a friendly bunch who welcomes new members. Our existing members, who come from a range of disciplines within the construction industry, have varying levels of health and safety knowledge and experience. Other members come from related professions such as design and training. The Group’s meetings provide an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to embrace the principles of occupational health, safety and environmental good practice, especially someone new to the industry, who works for a SME or are in a health and safety role. Our more experienced members are always prepared to offer advice.

The Group meets five times a year, usually on the 3rd Thursday of February, April, June, September and November. Meetings are relaxed and informal and provide an ideal opportunity to learn, keep up to date and share information and experiences with fellow like-minded H&S professionals.

The meetings currently take place at venues in and around East Anglia. Arrival is usually from 09:30 am for a cuppa and we start at 10:00 am. We have a packed and varied programme of guest speakers, demonstrations and discussions on industry issues and Working Well Together activity. Free refreshments and sandwich lunch are provided for members and we aim to finish by 15:00 pm.

For information on our current venue details and directions (which may change from time to time), membership fees and meeting dates click on the ‘meetings’ tab then select your area of interest from the dropdown menu.
