East Anglia Construction Safety Group

About Us

The East Anglia Construction Safety Group was formed to promote high standards of health, safety, welfare and environmental practice in the construction industry and allied professions by keeping members informed of topical issues, the practical aspects of implementing relevant legislation and promoting best working practice.

The Group meets five times a year, usually on the 3rd Thursday of February, April, June, September and November, with an authoritative guest speaker on a topical issue at each meeting. Occasionally we hold full-day events with morning and afternoon speakers or practical demonstrations. The meetings also offer an ideal opportunity for members to share information and experiences and to generally ‘network’ with fellow like-minded professionals.

The meetings usually take place in the afternoons with current venues in Ipswich and Waterbeach, (Cambridgeshire). For details of our current venues (which may change from time to time), membership fees and meeting dates click on the ‘meetings’ tab then select your area of interest from the dropdown menu.

We are a friendly and informal bunch who welcome new members. Our existing members, who mainly come from a range of disciplines within the construction industry, have varying levels of health and safety knowledge and experience. Other members come from related professions such as design and training. The Group’s meetings provide an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to embrace the principles of occupational health, safety and environmental good practice, especially someone new to the industry, or a health and safety role. Our more experienced members are always prepared to offer advice.

Prospective new members are welcome to enquire about joining the group or attend one of our meetings by prior arrangement with the Group’s Secretary by clicking on the link below.
